Veronika Morscher - Blooming

On June 7th, Veronika Morscher's highly anticipated album "Blooming" will be released on LowSwing Records. This marks her second album consisting entirely of original compositions, showcasing her lyrical prowess. Collaborating with renowned talents such as British keyboardist Kit Downes, guitarist Hanno Busch, German Jazz Prize Nominee bassist Lisa Hoppe, and esteemed drummer Amir Bresler, Morscher crafts an immersive musical experience.

Morscher's accolades include the 2017 Culture Prize in the Jazz category in Austria, the Jazz Prize in Bonn in 2019, and a nomination for the 2023 German Jazz Prize for "Best Vocal Jazz Album of the Year" with her previous collaboration, "Tales From the Wooden Kingdom." Her latest offering is a testament to her delicate yet profound songwriting, with each track showcasing her unique vocal technique while allowing her dream ensemble to shine.

Recorded entirely in analog fashion, "Blooming" captures the essence of live studio performances. With meticulous attention to detail, the album was tracked to 2” Tape and mixed using a Studer A80 1/2” tape machine at 30ips, resulting in 37 minutes of pure musical celebration. Like all LowSwing recordings, it stands as another testament to the label's commitment to preserving the warmth and authenticity of analog sound, emanating from the heart of Berlin.
